Die Bilder zeigen Portraits der Maschinen mit individuellem Ausdruck. Die Ruhe und Erhabenheit der großen Maschinen, die eine große Kraft, aber auch eine Zerstörungskraft ausstrahlen, wird eingefangen. Faszination für die technischen Gebilde wie Ehrfurcht oder Angst vor ihnen wird in Malerei übersetzt. Die Baumaschinen werden zu ambivalenten Sinnbildern für den Eingriff des Menschen in die Natur und die damit verbundenen negativen Folgen wie den Klimawandel, den Verlust von Arten oder die Entstehung von Pandemien. Teils werden die Baumaschinen in einer räumlichen Situation, in einer angedeuteten Landschaft gezeigt, teils nur vor meist monochromen Farbflächen. Die einzelne Maschine löst sich von der Realität und wird zum Kunst-Gegenstand.
